Meet the Teachers

Meet-the-teachers evenings, with a schedule for every family

Meet the Teachers plans your school’s meet-the-teachers evenings: the classes a child has on the school days you pick become the visits their family makes, on a clock you set. Every family gets its own schedule, with the teacher and the room for each class, and nothing has to be booked.

What it does

A schedule for each family

Each family sees its child’s classes in order, with the time, teacher and room for each. They can print it, add it to their calendar, or share it with a second household through a link that needs no account.

A plan for each teacher

The master plan shows every teacher, every class and every room on the evening’s clock. Print one teacher’s column or the whole plan, or download it as a spreadsheet.

Changes for the night only

Move a class, a teacher or a whole room for this evening only, and every family’s schedule follows while your usual rooms stay as they are. Add a welcome talk, or a session families sign up for with a set number of places.

How it works

  1. Set up your school

Sign up, then add your teachers, your students and their families on the People page, or send them a join link.

  2. Plan the evening

Pick the school days the evening follows, its start time and how long each visit runs, and the clock is laid out for you.

  3. Send the schedules

Email each family its child’s schedule or print them all, and adjust rooms and sessions as the evening takes shape.

What it costs

Meet the Teachers is free on its own, with no card, for up to 30 people. Each app you add after it is $25 (NZD) a month, and each person beyond those 30 people is $2 (NZD) a month.

Questions people ask

What does each family see?

Only its own child’s evening: each class in turn, with its time, teacher and room. A link shared with a second household shows that evening and nothing else, and stops working when the school closes the evening.

Do we need our timetable or our classes?

Yes, both. An evening is built from your timetable: the classes each child has in the periods of the days you pick, and the rooms they meet in. Meet the Teachers comes with the pages to set up your timetable, rooms, courses and classes.

What if a teacher is away on the night?

Mark that teacher’s meetings as cancelled, or move their classes to another room. Every family’s schedule shows the change straight away, and your usual timetable stays as it is.

Can we add more later?

Yes. Add another app, such as one-to-one meetings with families, or the whole of MyTime, and keep everything you already have.
