Cover
Cover turns a colleague’s absence into the list of lessons that need somebody, and helps your school cover each one with an available colleague, a relief teacher, another class or private study. Whoever takes a lesson becomes its teacher for that period, so their timetable and the register show it.

Record an absence and the lessons it leaves empty appear at once, period by period, on a board, a week view and a map of your rooms, each marked uncovered, asked or covered.
For each lesson, see who is free that period, ranked by who has covered least and who is under the quota you set, with the busy listed beside them and the reason they are busy. Whoever you ask is told by notification and by email, and accepts or declines.
The absent teacher leaves set work for each lesson, and the person covering it sees it. A term ledger shows who has covered how much against quota and what relief cover cost against budget, and the day sheet prints for the staff room.

Name your periods, and add your rooms and your classes and who teaches each one.
When somebody rings in, record their absence, ask an available colleague or book a relief teacher for each lesson, and print the day sheet.
Cover is free on its own, with no card, for up to 30 people. Each app you add after it is $25 (NZD) a month, and each person beyond those 30 people is $2 (NZD) a month.
Only the people who run the cover desk: your administrators, and any coordinators you name. A colleague sees only the lessons they are asked to cover, a relief teacher only their own bookings, and students and families never see Cover. The note on an absence never appears on the desk.
Yes: cover is worked out from the lessons on your timetable. Cover lets you set out your periods, rooms and classes and who teaches each one. Bringing them in from your student information system, and suggesting colleagues from the same department, come with the whole of MyTime.
Yes. Keep a relief pool: each relief teacher is invited by email and signs in with their own account, with the days they are available and their rate on record. The desk books them for a lesson, they confirm it from their bookings page, and the ledger counts what they cost.
Yes. Add another app, such as exam seating and invigilation, or the whole of MyTime, and keep everything you already have.
